Chapter 1. Organization of CAP

A. CAP is organized according to a Battalion setup. There is an

Headquarters company which will be composed of recruiters, web personnel, forum

moderators, and high level officers Following that is A company which will be

composed of 4 platoons with that breaking down into four squads for each platoon

consisting of about 7 members per squad. As our numbers grow additional

platoon/companies will be added to CAP to fill our growing needs. Each platoon is

encouraged to come up with a nickname (ex. Dragoons, Bulldogs, etc etc....) that

you feel as a group describes your team. This name will be used on the forums

and TS to designate your group. Ranking in the Battalion will follow as is. Battalion

Commander will be 0-6 with his executive officer being either a 0-4 or 0-5. SGM of

CAP will reside at the Battalion level. Staff to help at the battalion level will be

mixed. Company level will be one 0-3 with his executive officer being either a 0-1

or 0-2. One SGM and one First Sergeant will reside at the company level. At

platoon level will be one 0-1 or 0-2 with one e-7 in charge. At squad level will be an

e-6 in charge of the squad who will be in charge of training and progress reports on

members. He will receive progress reports from the e-5 that he places in charge

over the lower enlisted.

B. Chain of Command I know most of you have no clue what this means or how

this system should work. Well for you non military type this is the section that

covers that. You as a member of CAP have been designated with some type of

rank. This rank requires that you as a member try to work your issues or problems

out at the smallest level possible to begin with. Ex. You feel you have been

discriminated against in some manner or another. You are an E-1 and part of A.

Co. 1st Platoon 1st Squad. The first person you should go speak with about this

problem would be your Squad Leader. Now let?s say for some reason or another

your Squad Leader is the person you feel is discriminating against you. Your first

responsibility would be to let the Squad Leader know your problem. If the problem

is not solved to your satisfaction then you would inform your Squad Leader in writing

your intention to take this to the next level. Then you would see your Platoon

Leader. Now this process can continue all the way up to the Battalion Commander

where the final decision would be made by the Battalion Commander and the 0-10?s

of the Battalion. If you skip this chain of command we will direct you to see your

supervisor and work the chain of command. TOP

Chapter 2. Code of Conduct

Gameplay

Code of Conduct for gameplay is a straight forward issue. First and foremost you

represent Combined Assault Platoon at all times so good sportsmanship is a must.

A member will not engage in flaming wars with other gamers regardless of the

situation nor verbally assault them because you disagree with them or their tactics.

There will also be no putting down other players because of their skill level. Just

remember we all started new at one point or another. CAP does not cry hack. If

you suspect someone is cheating on a game hosted by CAP let an admin know so

they can observe the situation better. Tking your teammates intentionally will not

be tolerated. AFK players will not be assaulted in game. While it may be their fault

that they didn't log out upon being done with the game it's unfair to their

teammates to target these players for easy points. Ghosting will not be done at

any time during gameplay. You are allowed to report that you are down and the

last location you went down. These rules apply no matter if you're playing with us

as a team or off on your own visiting another server. Every time you play a server

with our tags on you are acting as a direct representative of CAP and its members.

Chat Room/TS

There will be no racial comments at any time that would make another

member or visitor feel like less of a human being. Cussing on TS needs to be kept

to a minimum. First it shows a lack of respect for yourself and others and second

we do have children of members playing whose parents would prefer for their

children to not hear this kind of language. Just keep in mind who?s around and

what they would find to be inappropriate. Seeing as we all come from different

backgrounds and possibly even different countries you never know who even a small

joke to you may be offensive them. Every person that comes to visit us will be

treated with utmost respect. "Golden Rule" in effect! Feel free to help them out

with any question they may have regardless of rank. No excessive flooding of our

chat room. While it may be funny at times to some we find it to be extremely

distracting.

Chapter 3. Recruitment

A. Recruiting will be done by authorized personnel only. If you

are on a server and someone inquires on joining they should be directed to the CAP

forum recruits section where designated recruiters will take care of it. We're looking

for quality not quantity in CAP. All recruits will be of a minimum 18 years of age. All

recruits will have an R placed after there name to indicate that they are in recruit

status until they have completed the Battalion in processing which will consist of

setting up a TS account, Registering with the forums, and going over the SOP/COC.

Each recruit at the end of the SOP/COC familiarization will take a written test to

make sure they understand what has been explained to them. Recruits will be

allowed to play with the group but not participate in matches or scrimmages until

completion of the above. Training for new recruits will be executed the 1st and

15th of every month. New recruits will be given a class date and will be expected to

attend. If they have not completed the class within a one month period they will be

considered ineligible for membership. If a recruit has a valid excuse he must

submit in writing to the recruiter why he was or will be unable to attend the class

dates. At then end of every class the recruiter will send the information listed below

to the Battalion Commander for processing. The Battalion SGM then will assign the

new member to a company. At that point the Company Commander will decide

which platoon the member will be assigned and inform the Platoon Leader of

incoming personnel.

B. When a member is in the rank of E-1 they may be asked to

leave the group due to compatibility problems with the clan. Ex?maturity problems

without the approval of the Board of Disciplinary Review.

C. Family members of CAP members below the age of 18 are

authorized to join. When on the servers they will be under the supervision of their

sponsor at all times unless it has been approved by the Battalion XO that the

dependent can be on unsupervised. Requests for a dependent to be unsupervised

should be placed in writing to the Battalion SGM by the Company Commander.

.

L ist of Requirements for recruiters to send to Battalion SGM
*New players in game name
*Location (country they live in)
*Date of recruitment
*Age
*Email address
*Name all previous clan you been with and why
*Company which player wishes to be assigned

Chapter 4. Commo

Our primary mode of communication is TS. There are no real rules in the TS

format other than treat your fellow teammates with the respect that they deserve.

If we have guests on TS they will be extended the same courtesies we give to our

own members.

Chapter 5. Forums

The forums are the place for us to voice our thoughts, arrange meetings, and

just talk with each other. It is not a place to have flaming contests with other

people. Keep in mind when using the forum that what ever you post might be

offensive to another member so be sure to keep it decent.

Chapter 6. Promotions

A. While we do not display our ranks in game to instill a sense

of pride and accomplishment in the group ranks are given. Promotions are based

on an individuals merit and commitment to the Battalion. Promotions to begin with

will be fairly quick paced. After E-4 though promotions will slow down tremendously

and be more competitive. Promotions after E-4 will be based on the needs of the

Battalion. So you as a member have to make yourself more competitive to achieve

those higher promotions. Things to avoid doing in concern to promotions. 1.

Asking for a promotion (We are aware of who was promoted last and how long

you've been with the Platoon.) 2. Going back and forth between leaders trying to

get a promotion. From the ranks of E-1 to E-4 promotions will be eligible based off

time in the Battalion. E-1 to E-2 will be a period of 3 months. E-2 to E-3 will be a

period of 4 months. E-3 to E-4 will be a period of 5 months. The Battalion reserves

the right to promote or demote personnel to properly fill the Battalion chain of

command. It is the responsibility of Platoon Leaders to keep track of their

platoon?s members and when they are due for promotion. When a member

becomes eligible for promotion they will submit in writing to the Company First

Sergeant who they recommend for the promotion and why that person shall be

promoted. Upon approval from the Company Commander that person will be

promoted. Officer promotions and Battalion enlisted promotions will be handled at

the Battalion level by the Battalion XO and must be approved by the Battalion

Commander.

B. For the ranks of E-5 to E-8 a Promotion Review Board will be

convened consisting of the Battalion Commander, Battalion SGM, and the three

0-10?s of the Battalion to decide who will be promoted. These promotions will be

based off of the recommendations of the members supervisors and the needs of

the Battalion. This board can be conducted through chat or email.

C. To become an E-9. A member has to write a special letter why

he/she should get the next level. These individuals have contributed, completed

tasks that are assigned to them, being an ACTIVE member, etc...

All promotions above the rank of E-9 are based off your performance within the

clan. These will not be as easy to earn, as the previous ranks. You will have to show

great commitment to the clan. If you are promoted above the rank of E-9, it is very

likely that you will be required to assume additional responsibilities, within the clan,

as they arise. Please ask yourself, before submitting a request for promotion,

whether you have the time to accomplish additional tasks or, if you want the added

responsibilities. These tasks are often time consuming and not always fun.

The written request should include the following:

*Verification that you meet the minimum requirements to receive the

promotion.

*Why you feel you have earned the promotion.

*What you have done for the clan, since becoming a member.

*What you are currently doing to benefit the clan.

*What you plan to do in the future to benefit the clan and how receiving

this promotion will aid you in accomplishing those tasks.

Chapter 7. Awards

Awards are given to acknowledge the milestones that members achieve in

CAP. Award recommendations will be submitted in writing by Platoon Leaders and

turned into the Company First Sergeant. Company Commanders must then sign

their approval unless the award is designated that it must be approved by the

Battalion Commander. If this is the case the Company Commander must sign his

approval/ disapproval and then it must be forwarded to the Battalion Commander for

final say.

CAP BT Upon completion of recruitment status member is awarded this.

that they do.

numbers added to the ribbon.

Is responsibility of members next higher up in Chain of Command to

track members hours in a game.

Chapter 8. Admin Privileges

Administrator rights are a privilege and not a right to every member. Only

First Sergeant and above will be given admin privileges. If an admin is found to be

abusing his powers he will be stripped of those privileges and demoted.

Guidelines for an Admin Kick

*Without being antagonized by a guest/member is verbally aggressive to another

player/ member.

*If a member/player is respectfully asked to control his/her behavior they fail to

comply.

*Hacking of any kind. For games that have punkbuster proof must be available.

For games that don?t have punkbuster the highest ranking member on the server

will have to make the call but they need to base if off what the general feeling on

the server is.

*Pings

*Making room for a fellow member

*Wearing a tag in game that is offensive. Ex?racial, pornographic in nature,

comments about CAP.

*Tking or somehow impeding another players gameplay on purpose.

* Verbally harassing the admin

*Member of a hostile clan towards CAP

Chapter 9. Admin Monitoring

A. A group of members selected by the Command Group will be

tasked with the duty of making sure that Admin privileges are not being abused.

This group will be known only to the Battalion Commander and above. They will

report directly to the Battalion Commander on any issues in this department. All

violations of admin privileges will be document so there will be no denying violations

by the accused. Ex. Screen Shot or Video Evidence. They will also supply the

Battalion Commander of at least two people who were on the server at the same

time so they may be questioned on the events that happened. This check is in

place to make sure admins continue to do the right thing and are never aware when

they are being monitored.
B. In the event an admin exceeding his authority he will be

notified of the problem and informed when the Disciplinary Board will be convened.

Admin rights may be suspended until the Board has been completed. If this is to

happen the member will be notified before hand.

Chapter 10. Uniform

Uniform in this context means the wearing of the CAP tags. When a member

is on a CAP server or a game that CAP is active in they must constantly be wearing

the tags. Unless a member has been specifically designated to be outside of tag

there is no reason for it. Wearing of the tag in games that CAP is not involved in,

while not required is strongly encouraged. You represent CAP not just as a player

but as a family member. Be proud to wear it.

Chapter 11. Board of Disciplinary Review

A. If the need to remove a member from the Battalion exists,

demotion is required to fix a disciplinary problem, or Admin rights need to be

removed it will be done by the Board of Disciplinary Review. The board will convene

at a designated time and decide the proper punishment for the member. The

board will consist of the accused next in line supervisor, Company Commander,

Company SGM, and The Battalion Commander. Any 0-10 reserves the right to sit in

on this board and cast a vote on the action to be taken.

B. If a member resigns or is excused from CAP for disciplinary

action that member will not be allowed to return to the Battalion. Exception to policy

on this is that the former member in writing explains why he left the Battalion and

what has changed that he thinks he would now be a good fit for the Battalion. The

Board of Disciplinary Review will then convene to decide if it is in the best interest of

CAP to allow the member to return. If the board decides the former member can

return he will be treated as a new recruit and go through the entire process again.

Return to former rank will not be allowed.

Chapter 12. Company Transfers

If a member wishes to change to another Company he needs to put a request

in writing through his/her Company SGM. It will then be processed to the Battalion

XO for approval. This will be dependent on the needs of the Battalion.

Chapter 13. Double Tagging

If the CAP community is supporting a game, being part of CAP and another

clan playing that same game is unauthorized. Exception to policy on this is of

course if CAP does not support a game then you are authorized to join another clan

to enjoy team based gameplay. If a person is found to be in violation of this rule

the member will be asked to make a decision regarding which team he will be

playing with. If the member refuses to make a decision with a timely period the

Disciplinary Board will be convened to decide the course of action.

This is the second version of the SOP. As problems arise there will be revisions to

the SOP so it continues to meet the Battalions standards. If you're unsure that a

certain behavior may be inappropriate and it is not covered in the SOP the best

advice that can be given is to hold your actions and discuss it with your NCO so they

can bring it up to the Officers for a possible revision to the SOP.
